The short version: SkyHUD works entirely on your device using its built-in sensors. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. No accounts. No tracking. No servers.
SkyHUD is an augmented reality cockpit application for outdoor sports. It uses your iPhone's built-in sensors to display real-time flight and activity instruments directly over the camera view.
All processing happens locally on your device. The app does not require an internet connection to function.
SkyHUD accesses the following iPhone sensors to power its instruments:
Sensor data is used exclusively to calculate and display instruments on screen. It is never stored permanently or transmitted off your device.
The camera is used as a live background for the AR cockpit view. The microphone is used only when you manually start a screen recording. No camera or microphone data is stored or transmitted.
When you record your screen using the built-in recording feature, the resulting video is saved directly to your iPhone's photo library. Videos stay on your device and are never uploaded or shared by the app.
SkyHUD requests access to your location to display GPS coordinates, speed, altitude, and heading. Location data is used in real time and is not stored after the session ends. Background location access is used to keep GPS active while the screen is off during a flight.
SkyHUD is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be published at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
